Resolution: 2009

Most people make positive resolutions for the New Year, stuff they are going to DO. I hereby make one about what I am not going to do: write this blog anymore.

See, I love being TiVoLady, but I don't love not being paid. I could write a lot this week about the Boomer angle on Clint Eastwood's movie, Gran Torino; I could write about the new movie Defiance; I could write about Milk. But until some old-timey print media offers me real money to write as, say, Geezette (for female geezers over the age of 40 or 45), I've gotta call a halt. Or, maybe I could write a snarky column called The Curmudge Report, about how women of a certain age are presented on television and in movies. That would be fun. . .

But until such time, I am moving on to promoting my forthcoming book, and setting up a new Web site for it, at TheSuperiorWife.com. (Nothing's there yet, so don't bother looking!) Maybe I'll even start a blog related to that book; or maybe not.

Either way, au revoir. It's been fun, but I'm done. . . Over and out,

BUMMER! I will miss Tivo Lady. And I, for one, would like to support the idea of "The Curmudge Report." I would be a daily reader. "Geezette" is pretty good too and I think you would have a following.

Does this mean I need to take "Tivo Lady" off my favorites? Say it ain't so...What if you just posted occasionally?

Having trouble letting go.

Wait, wait. . . Does over and out mean you have finished blogging right at the very moment I discovered you? I AM writing/trying to write the book on "Why French Women Don't Get Old". My agent told me she couldn't do anything with the idea -- which she claims to love -- unless I did a blog, which I started about four months ago.

I feel as if I get up each day and write into a big, black void. If you're looking for a rant on age, one is coming up on Monday. But perhaps you are over and out. Your new book sounds fabulous.
