Biography

Carin Rubenstein is the author of BEYOND THE MOMMY YEARS (Springboard, 2007), THE SACRIFICIAL MOTHER: ESCAPING THE TRAP OF SELF-DENIAL (Hyperion, 1998) and co-author of IN SEARCH OF INTIMACY (Delacorte Press, 1982). She is a freelancer for The New York Times and has been written for a range of publications, including The New York Times, New Woman, Family Circle, Parents, and Working Mother.
Rubenstein has appeared on many national television shows during the past two years, including a series of regular appearances on “The Early Show,” as well as “Good Morning America,” “Today,” and “The View.”
Rubenstein received a B.A. from Smith College and a Ph.D. in social/personality psychology from New York University, with a specialty in survey research.
